Beyond the Spine offers free podcast content as well as merchandise for purchase. This Return Policy applies to all physical products purchased through our website.

Free Content

All podcast episodes, essays, and curated playlists are provided free of charge. There are no refunds or returns applicable to free content.

Merchandise Returns

Return Window

You have 10 days from the date of delivery to request a return for eligible merchandise.

Eligible Items

The following items may be returned:

  • Unworn and unwashed apparel with original tags attached

  • Unused accessories and products in original packaging

  • Items in resalable condition

Non-Returnable Items

The following items cannot be returned:

  • Custom or personalized merchandise

  • Items marked as final sale

  • Opened or used items that cannot be resold

  • Damaged items due to misuse or wear

How to Initiate a Return

To request a return:

  1. Contact us at hello@beyondthespine.co within 30 days of delivery

  2. Include your order number and reason for return

  3. Wait for return authorization and instructions

  4. Ship the item back using the provided instructions

Important: Do not ship items back without authorization. Unauthorized returns may not be processed.

Return Shipping

Standard Returns

Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the item arrived damaged or defective.

Damaged or Defective Items

If you receive a damaged or defective item:

  • Contact us within 7 days of delivery

  • Provide photos of the damage or defect

  • We will cover return shipping costs and send a replacement or issue a full refund

Refunds

Processing Time

Once we receive and inspect your returned item, we will:

  • Process your refund within 5-7 business days

  • Issue refunds to your original payment method

  • Send you an email confirmation

Refund Amount

  • Full refund for eligible returns (excluding original shipping costs)

  • Original shipping costs are non-refundable unless the item was defective or we made an error

Partial Refunds

Partial refunds may be issued for:

  • Items not in original condition

  • Items with missing tags or packaging

  • Items returned after 30 days (at our discretion)

Exchanges

We do not currently offer direct exchanges. If you need a different size, color, or product:

  1. Return the original item for a refund

  2. Place a new order for the desired item

Lost or Stolen Packages

We are not responsible for packages that are lost or stolen after delivery confirmation. If your tracking shows "delivered" but you did not receive your package:

  • Check with neighbors or building management

  • Contact the shipping carrier directly

  • File a claim with the carrier if applicable

We may assist with carrier claims on a case-by-case basis but cannot guarantee replacement or refund for lost packages showing delivery confirmation.

International Returns

International customers are responsible for:

  • Return shipping costs

  • Any customs fees or duties incurred

  • Ensuring items clear customs when returning

Refunds for international orders will be issued in USD and may be subject to currency exchange rates.

Incorrect Orders

If we shipped you the wrong item:

  • Contact us immediately at hello@beyondthespine.co

  • We will provide a prepaid return label

  • We will send the correct item at no additional cost

Pre-Orders

Pre-ordered items may be cancelled for a full refund before they ship. Once shipped, standard return policy applies.
